I'm a software engineer and technical lead with over ten years of building behind me — across PHP/Laravel backends, cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, robotics, and production AI systems.

I started out wiring hardware and writing firmware, moved into web and backend engineering, and spent the last several years leading teams and architecting systems for businesses that needed to ship reliably and move fast. AI is now woven into how I work at every level — not as a novelty, but as a genuine force multiplier for planning, review, and delivery.

How I work

I read the codebase before the brief. I write things down as I go — design decisions, trade-offs, what we didn't build and why. I leave systems in better shape than I found them.

Most of my work falls into one of three modes: a deep audit and architecture review, an embedded stint where I'm part of the team for a defined period, or an end-to-end build with a proper handover at the end.

AI is in the loop throughout — in code review, spec drafting, incident response, test generation. But it's a tool, not the point. The point is working software that the people who depend on it can rely on.

Background

I've built things across a lot of domains: logistics platforms, drone systems, business automation, developer tooling, and the occasional side project that turned into something real. The common thread is that I like problems where the technical complexity and the business constraint are both hard.

I'm based in Brisbane, Australia. I work with clients remotely and occasionally on-site when it makes sense.
